Antonia MacMillan (aldous)
I am an independent Speech and Language Therapist based in Witley, near Godalming in Surrey, UK.
I provide Speech and Language Therapy and Auditory Verbal Therapy for babies and children up to the age of 16 who have a wide range of communication needs; including: speech sound delay and disorder; language delay and disorder, stammering and hearing impairment; My specialist interest and an area in which I have extensive experience and expertise is working with children and their families who have a hearing loss.
I provide assessment and therapy for your child’s communication needs either at your home or your child’s school and nursery.
I am always available to talk through your child’s communication needs over the phone to help you decide if speech and language therapy is the right way forward.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have been working with children, their families, nurseries and schools as a qualified Speech and Language Therapist for over 15 years.
Until recently I was working at St Georges Hospital as the Speech and Language Therapist on the Auditory Implant Programme as well as working in private schools in London, in local nurseries and in children's homes.
I am also an Auditory Verbal Therapist, having trained with Auditory Verbal UK. I work as anAV therapist with babies, children and their families both in their homes and the nurseries, working closely with those involved with the child.
In addition, I have level 2 British Sign Language as well as being trained in both Cued Articulation and Makaton.
I have a significant amount of experience as a Trainor, providing training for those who work in schools, nurseries and for parents in a range of subject areas such as; facilitating language, developing speech sounds, developing early listening skills and developing language through audition.
With all the children, families, schools and nurseries I work with, I spend time making sure I understand how the child learns and how best to support the child in reaching their communication potential. My therapy is fun and varied and where possible, I try to move away from structured worksheets, rather making communication natural and enjoyable.

- Understanding; delay/disorder
- Expressive language; delay/disorder
- Phonological; delay/disorder
- Articulation disorders
