Reflexology is all about bringing balance, harmony and well-being to the body. At times in our lives, we find ourselves ‘out-of-sorts’ and our body needs equilibrium in order to keep working healthily. My aim is to help you achieve a healthier, happier and more balanced lifestyle through the use of Reflexology.
Reflexology is based on the principle that there are reflex points on the feet that correspond to every organ, gland and part of the body. For example, the toes represent the head and the ball of the foot represents the chest and lung region.
The first reflexology appointment will involve a 15 minute consultation during which you will be asked about your health and lifestyle. The session will then be tailored to suit you. All information will be kept confidential. A reclining chair is used during treatments to ensure that you can relax, and literally put your feet up and enjoy the experience. The treatment itself will last approximately 1 hour.
The treatment will begin with some general relaxation techniques, followed by a precise thumb and finger walking technique aimed at applying pressure to every reflex area on the top and bottom of the foot.
Reflexology can be incredibly relaxing, allowing the body and mind 'time out' to rejuvenate and heal.
