Alison Savory BSc (Hons), LicAc, DipTN, MBAcC, PhD

Alison is an experienced Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Health Practitioner, focused on helping her patients reach their potential and live life well. She holds a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Five Element & Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture from the world-renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM), where she now lectures on Pain, Fertility & Obstetrics. She also holds a Distinction-level postgraduate diploma in Tui Na (Chinese Therapeutic Massage) and is a Full member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC).
Alison has always been interested in health, with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry and a PhD in Clinical Medicine (Cambridge) and then fifteen years in healthcare. The clinical evidence for acupuncture drew her into a journey of self-discovery of the power of acupuncture in improving and then maintaining health through rebalancing the body's natural energy.
She founded and is Chair of ACT Berkshire (Acupuncture for Conception to Childbirth Team) (actberks.org.uk), a professional group of traditional acupuncturists and offers specialist support for preconception health & fertility (male and female), assisted conception (incl. IVF), pregnancy & childbirth. She is a mentored doula with Doula UK. She offers a bespoke prebirth birth-fit programme and is deeply committed to helping her patients become parents.
Alison received a national BAcC award for her dissertation on Acupuncture and the reduction of pain medication. She advocates the complementary use of Acupuncture and Tui Na for both acute and chronic pain as well as neuropathic pain and common functional diseases, as Chinese Medicine treats the whole patient, not just the condition.
Alison integrates the ancient practice of Chinese Medicine with the latest cosmetic technologies to offer a unique constitutional Facial Revitalise programme, so that outward appearance reflects inner balance.
Ultimately, Alison treats each patient as one whole person (not just a condition, diagnosis or disease label); balancing body and mind, enabling her patients to live life well.
