I practice a variety of massages from gentle and sooting aromatherapy, deep tissue and advanced clinical massage techniques to help ease pain, relaxing Thai foot and Indian head massage and the complete chill-out experience of hot stone fusion massage.
Massage manipulates the layers of muscle and connective tissue to promote relaxation, enhance function and aid healing. It may help with both physical pain relief and management as well as with psychological problems such as anxiety and depression.
Having experience with a wide variety of clients and a large toolbox of techniques, I also incorporate my massage and nutrition knowledge into aftercare advice and tips. Pure Bliss Massage is based in my home therapy room in South Bristol.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have over 15 years experience as a massage therapist, originally training in aromatherapy massage, followed by Indian head massage. Over the last 8 years I have undertaken continuing professional development at the renowned Jing Institute in Brighton, where I have taken courses on Hot Stone Massage, Table Thai massage and have recently completed their advanced musculo-skeletal anatomy & physiology course. I am currently taking their year long ACMT (Advanced Clinical Massage Techniques) course, which, as well as being a stand-alone course, is the first year of their 3 year Diploma course.
I am also a qualified Nutritional Therapist (studying for 3 years with the Institute for Optimum Nutrition) and, although I don't practise nutrition I do incorporate my knowledge into self-help tips for clients.
