Thai hot herbal compress massage suitable for beginners and professionals alike. Here is a two day course that teaches you skills that will make your friends or clients very happy this winter!
Thai hot herbal compress massage is a wonderfully warming treatment, perfect for this time of year. Unlike some of the commercial training courses which use manufactured compresses, we will be making our own from selected herbs and roots. You’ll learn about the properties of the herbs so that you can tailor the contents to the needs of the individual, and you’ll learn how to wrap them into a compress. Once your compress is made you’ll learn how to give a full body compress massage, practising on one another.
This course is a module on the traditional Thai therapies certificate
More about compresses: Hand made herbal compresses are steam heated to release the aroma and properties of the herbs, such as Eucalyptus and lime leaf, frankincense resin and borneo camphor. Then they are patted, pressed, pounded and pummelled on the body. A very tonifying and restoring treatment, adaptable for everyone, relieves muscular tension, deep bruising or torn muscles, good for respiratory ailments, water retention, fatigue, fertility, you name it! Just close your eyes, relax, and melt into a warming Thai reverie.
