This workshop is for parents or carers of children with special educational needs (SEN) to learn a relaxation routine called functional reflex therapy (FRT).
FRT is a combination of relaxation techniques drawn from reflexology. It is designed to empower those who support children and adults with:
- autistic spectrum disorders
- neurological impairment
- learning difficulties
- complex needs
FRT provides you with the skills to deliver a short repetitive relaxation routine that can be undertaken at a time convenient for you.
A child or adult receiving FRT regularly may encourage the release of the "happy chemicals” throughout the body which may:
- induce relaxation
- help improve mood
- reduce anxiety
- relieve tension
- support well-being
The workshop is run over two weeks, the first week (Monday 20th March) parents will learn the hand routine and the second week (Monday 27th March) the foot routine.
For further details about functional reflex therapy and how to book on the workshop, please click on the link below or contact me here. To secure a place please ensure you book by Friday 3rd March.
Workshops are for a minimum of four and maximum of ten people.
