Anatomy on Cadaver days are on prosected specimens and are taught by a professor of anatomy and/or a guest lecturer. You will have a chance to view muscles, bones, blood vessels, nerves etc. and to palpate. All equipment such as gloves is provided. These are not dissections as the bodies are already dissected so that you are able to focus in on the area of interest.
Dissections are with Julian Baker who is one of Europe's leading experts on connective tissue and dissection. He has worked with Gil Hedley, Tom Myers and Robert Schlep. As a participant, you will play an active role in dissecting so that you start to get an understanding of fascia, its connection from skin to bone as well as exploring the functional aspects of each layer and their relationship to other structures. This is a rare opportunity to dissect and explore the human form in order for you to develop a truly holistic and connected view of the body as a whole. The aim of the workshop is to gain a deeper understanding of why your therapy words and will fundamentally change the way you see the body.
"What an awesome and very humbling day! Still so vividly picture it in my mind today and can certainly take forward the information learned into my rehab therapy." (Participant on an anatomy on cadaver day, February 2015.)
