‘Business yoga’ set to be the Next Big Thing in 2012
2011 has seen our capital city melt down in light of the recession, with stressed bankers dropping off the radar all over the show.
The remedy for the coming year? Yoga. It seems the business world is calling for time out to light some incense, don some stretchy leggings and assume the downwards dog position to help fix the financial crisis.
The increasing demand for yoga instructors has seen the rise of services like YogaAt, which offers yoga classes wherever you want – in your office, in your kitchen, even in your overnight hotel. YogaAt has big-name clients such as HSBC, Bain and Citibank queuing for its handy portable services.
According to Matt Julian, head of fitness at The Third Space health clubs, “now that the world is such a tough place people are looking for something to help them cope”.
New yoga classes are popping up all over London to cater for the influx of people looking to find an outlet for work stress.
