Many people associate osteopathy simply with the treatment of back issues, but actually they are trained to assess and treat the entire body.
Throughout the games they will use their knowledge, skills and experience to help them accurately diagnose and treat Olympians as quickly and safely as possible.
They will also be there to give advice and support to the national team and this alone will hopefully act as a preventative measure.
Osteopaths often work with sporting injuries and therefor realise the importance of returning athletes to their sports before their injuries threaten their opportunity to compete.
